I just posted a new video lesson demonstrating another exercise to boost your chops and to add to your warm-up routine.
This time, the focus is on legato playing (hammer-ons and pull-offs). Like the 4-note chromatic exercise, this one focuses on tempo, tone & articulation. It isn’t very interesting musically so, instead, you need to pay attention on those “Three Pillars”.
You can get the exercise in tab & musical notation as a PDF. It’s pretty long (20 pages!), but only because it details out the entire exercise. The exercise is actually much simpler than it appears when written out. So don’t stress out about having to memorize some enormous composition.
Take a little bit at a tempo and slowly work up the tempo. Don’t strain yourself and, as always, have fun!
